Time to Rise and Shine

It is time to get out of bed smartly; wake up.

Thinking of how I have to prepare for my mornings with you. There is no easing into the day. Our mornings are jarring, heavy with expectation on a body that still wants to be at home, wrapped in the warmth of that extra blanket and enjoying a languorous approach to the day. The unintended consequence of early mornings with you is the walkabout after as the sun peaks over the hill and illuminates our side of the valley. The mist hangs heavy, but it is bright enough for me to know my path through the trees.
